Navi Mumbai becomes the first City under Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) to achieve 100% completion of atleast FIRST DOSE OF COVID-19 VACCINATION to the eligible Residents above 18 years of age.
Approx. 11,07,300 Navi Mumbaikars have been administered with first Dose (completing 100%)and more than 5,76,000 (more than 50%) have been administered with the Double Dose of Covid Vaccination.
CREDIT GOEST TO MR.ABHIJIT BANGAR, COMMISSIONER OF NMMC, It's entire Health Department, Corporators of Navi Mumbai who took pains and efforts to get their Ward Members Vaccinated. It's a Proud Moment for all the Navi Mumbaikars in this very Depressing Pandemic Situation.
Navi Mumbai already had made a Mark because of its Cleanliness, being Spacious with good Motorable Roads and now a new highly Appreciable Chapter is added by achieving 100% Completion of first Dose of Covid Vaccination..

BRIEF ABOUT NAVI MUMBAI
Navi Mumbai (earlier called as New Bombay), is the largest (self claimed) planned City in the entire World, situated on the west Coast of the Indian
Subcontinent, Maharashtra in Konkan Division, on the mainland of India. The City is divided into two parts, North and South Navi Mumbai, for the individual development of Panvel Mega City, which includes the areas from Kharghar to Uran, including Taloj and Old Panvel Nodes strictly in the city of Navi Mumbai. Navi Mumbai has a population of 1,11, 9447 as per the 2011 Provisional Census. It has an average city elevation of 14 Meters excluding forest area.
The area was proposed in 1971 to be a new urban Township of Mumbai by the Government of Maharashtra . For this purpose, a new Public Sector Undertaking CIDCO was established. Navi Mumbai is situatied across two Districts, Thane part and Raigad. The City has been ranked 12th among 73 Cities surveyed for cleanliness and Hygiene by the Union Ministry of Urban Development and Quality Council of India (QCI) as a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
